What's up sugar lumps?! Hope you are all having a good day. So today is my first review (woohoo!) but please let me know in the comments any other reviews you would like me to do and i will go and buy it, but just so you know I am having trouble replying to comments right now so don't be disheartened if I don't reply for a while. So let's get into the review!
So what are Collection Work The Colour Lip Butters? Well, they are like a mix of a lipstick, lip stain and lip balm all in one. They come in a range of four colours and are all £2.99, which is really good compared to other products. In general I have found all of the lip butters to be absolutely amazing. Overall they are really good quality and keep their colour for a long time. They are super moisturizing and I found all of them match my skin tone really nicely and I know suit others well too. Another thing I thought was cool is that their packaging is the exact same colour as the product which doesn't seem that big of a deal. But let's say you are in Boots and you wanted to buy one but the testers are missing and the other products were sealed? Well because you now know that the package is the exact colour, then you know what it is you are buying. You're welcome!
The only negative comments I could say would be that they are very soft and have a habit of breaking if you use them too excitedly (like me) so don't do that! They don't have LOADS of product but they are cheap so I think that's okay. Also, just as a side note I would recommend exfoliating your lips before because any dry skin will start to show.
1 Popping Pink
This is a very vibrant hot pink that overall has a amazing colour payoff and pigmentation. It is one of the more glossy looking colours and is pretty smudge resistant which is important for such a bright colour that can easily be seen if its out the lines. Bit embarrassing. This is one of those colours that I can see myself wearing on a beach in the sunshine.
I have to say that sadly this is my least favourite colour. Its nude but also pinky with a definite sheen. Its lighter than my lips and I guess could be classed as a natural lip colour, although I don't love it other people might be able to pull it off better than I can so don't be disheartened. I don't know...its just weird.
The perfect way to describe this colour is 'your lips but better' its pretty much a typical natural lip colour but more enhanced with a brown/orange undertone. On the lips its not as glossy looking as the others which is another reason I think its the perfect everyday lip colour. This will definitely be my go to for a while, I could probably get away with it at school but who knows, I can always try.
Okay so I thought that the more pinky colour would be my favourite but I was so wrong. Its a beautiful purple that's somehow rich but not too dark with just the perfect amount of shine! I don't ever rock dark lips but I adore this colour so if you don't normally wear dark lips please go and give this a try, you could be surprised! I will for sure be wearing this all through autumn... when it gets here!
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you again soon with my next post! Please comment, share and follow that would be super cool I love you guys so so much! Love Juliette x
