♡letting out emotions♡

Hello everyone. wow teenage years, im starting to find they are, interesting. I am guessing you, lovely reader, is also a teenager and as much as you may hate it, the truth is teenagers are emotional. you might just think you're reacting normally to things but I promise, most of the time you're not these stupid things called emotions that take over and life can get a bit crazy. I know some people let emotions swallow them and resort to things like self harm, smoking or drugs and I want to help people realize that there are so many ways to let out emotions and feelings in a way that wont hurt yourself or other people or make a scene so if you're stuck I have some ideas to help you out.

• listen to music: this is by far the easiest one, I always find there are songs that match my situation or mood perfectly so I would say, have a listen to those and get out what you need to. Afterwards though, if you're feeling a negative emotion, change the mood of the music completely and it should lift your spirits or take your mind off what's wrong. This works really well for me.

• draw: drawing is one of the few things I'm good at and I like to draw people feeling the emotions I do at the time. For example if I feel alone I might draw a girl curled up with her head down hugging her legs then colour the area around her in black; (I've done that before) or if I'm in love I might draw two people kissing (done that as well) or sad I could draw an eye with a tear coming out. (also done that) You get the point right? I find this takes some time and I'm focusing on the drawing so my mind is taken away from the situation.

• writing a song: I can't write songs to save my life but I know some people love to. Write one about what you're feeling and the stronger the emotion the better I guess, it doesn't even have to be good just so long as you feel some kind of relief. If you can't write lyrics, maybe just make up a tune on an instrument.

• sport: again something I suck at, but I know that a lot of people who are good at sport like to be alone with an element from the sport and let out emotions. Let me explain what I mean, a football player might be feeling angry so the night go outside, on their own with a football and kick it against a wall. Or a swimmer might go to a lane at a pool if they are feeling stressed and calmly swim a few lengths to let the water soothe them. Because the sport is something they enjoy, its easy for these people to let it help them think or be destracted.

•  writing: very similar to the songs one, writing let's you be free with words and let out your emotions on paper. And paper won't judge you. You could keep a diary and write down exactly what progress you're making with this feeling or situation. You could write poems, paragraphs, letters, stories or even blog posts, whatever you want you can do it.

Talking to someone about things will always be the most productive way, but if you are certain that thays not right at the minute then please try these out. After doing some of these things you might find the confidence to speak up. There are definitely much more ways to let out anything and I would love to know how you do it in the comments below so you can help other people as well. I love you guys so much. Love Juliette x

♡whats in my travel bag?♡

Hey there guys! I am going on a couple of short getaways this summer, no where special, but if you go away you always need a travel bag right? This post can apply to plane, car, train, boat journeys, you name it! I would love to know what you are all up to, let me know in the comments even if its just staying home.

•  of course I have my phone in there, what kind of a teenager do you think I am?
•  I have a thing where I have my phone charged when I don't need it but by the time I really do its on like 2% so a portable charger is always a good idea.
•  music is my life so an iPod is always the first thing in there along with my headphones.
•  I always have spare money with me just in case, especially if im going to another country and might need their currency as well.
•  I would never bring a whole makeup bag on a journey but I will take little essentials like a concealer and a spoolie or something.
•  even if you don't wear makeup I would say for sure bring some kind of lip balm, there's nothing worse than having burning lips and nothing to soothe them.
• sunnies..there is no explanation needed, we all know what sunglasses are for!
• im a bit weird with my hands feeling clammy and gross so I will always bring some hand sanitizer with me, just keep in mind if you're flying that you cant have a certain amounts of fluid.
•  water is also a good idea, gotta keep hydrated and stuff.
•  I never end up reading a lot on journeys but encase my phone runs out of charge and im SUPER bored, a book or a magazine is a good backup plan.

have a great summer everyone and thanks for reading! comments, shares and follows are much loves, love Juliette x

♡having a good old talk♡

Hi everyone! I realise that not everyone likes blog posts where things get all motivational and stuff, and at first that was why I decided I wouldn't write posts like that. and here we are. I now realise that some lessons I learn as I wander through this journey we call life, are ones that some people haven't learnt yet. So here I am to teach you things I wish I was taught. Even if you click the X in the top right hand corner and leave to go read a better blog, I am hoping that at least on person sitting on their laptop in a small rainy part of the UK or anywhere in the world, is going to find help in my posts. If these kinds of blog posts are ones you would like me to more of please let me know in the comments and say the topic or DM me @love.juliette on instagram. Because man have I messed up a lot of times and learnt something from it. Silver linings my friend.

one thing I did today, was instead of doing maths, I sat with on e of my really good friends, someone I see more like a brother and we talked. If im honest we could have done it at a better time than in the middle of education but still. The friend I spoke to, lets call him Johan encase he comes up in future reference,  is someone I really trust and get on with ridiculously well, he makes me laugh more than anyone so telling him stuff was both easy and funny. We took it in turns to confess our most shameful, embarrassing, and deep moments to each other with no fear of judgement or the secrets getting out. some of them were about or past or our regrets or even about each other, nothing was un told. And I mean nothing! As much as we had a good time doing it and making jokes about each other, it really did feel relieving to get things off our chest. I know it was for me at least and im sure it was for him to. I even feel a bit like it bought us closer together if that's even possible? No shipping please we are both taken which I think made it even better because some of it was about our relationships, so we didn't need to worry about upsetting or making the other person jealous.

Anyways, the whole point of this was to say that if you have things you need to say then say them. Anything that has been dragging you down or eating you alive, if you know what I mean. Grab someone like my friend Johan here that you can trust and just get talking. It can bee as light hearted or as deep as you need it to be. Just be sure they are someone you can 100% trust and rely on, and maybe if you don't know anyone like that then tell your parents or a sibling or even get a therapist or counsellor. Or even me! You can DM me anytime and I will reply to your problems, I may joke about a lot but believe me I can be serious if its need and you would be surprised at the help I can give if I do say so myself.

I seriously hope this has helped at least on person in some way and like I aid let me know of anything you need advice or help on, unless its maths because as we have established, I cant do that very well! If you could share and follow that would be awesome, sending you love Juliette x

♡D.I.Y hair treatment♡

Well hey, I didn't see you there! I'm sorry it had to be done at some point! anyways, I think hair is pretty awesome! and to keep hair pretty awesome is a lot of work and sometimes a struggle, but fear not! I am here to give you four recipes you can make to give your lovely locks some vava voom! I'm sorry I'm feeling so weird today!

to repair:

♡ mix together 118ml of runny honey with 1 or 2 (depending on how much it look like you need) tablespoons of olive oil.
♡ give it a good ol' rub into damp hair.
♡ allow it to sit for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

for soft and silky hair:

♡ give a banana a mash up in a bowl.
♡ add 3 drops of almond oil and give it a mix.
♡ go crazy and slop it all over your hair and leave to sit; wait for it, FOR A WHOLE 25 MINUITS! that's a bloody long time I know! maybe go make some tea or something I don't know!
♡ after that very long time, wash it all out and shampoo.

to moisturize:

♡ squish up half an avocado, (do what you want with the other half) in a bowl and mix in half a teaspoon of olive oil.
♡ rub the mix in your already wet hair.
♡ let it set for 10 minutes and rinse out well.

to strengthen:

♡ mix up an egg yolk with 2 teaspoons of castor oil.
♡ leave on your hair for 15 minutes then rinse out.

thank you for reading and putting up with my random outbursts1 I am I  such a weird mood! don't forget to comment any post suggestions, share this post and follow. lots of love Juliette x

♡late night sunset eye makeup♡

Hey everyone! I am back today with another makeup look for you, but this time focusing on the eyes.

Just to set the mood for you, imagine walking on the beach, hand in hand with the one you love, its late but its still warm, there is a light breeze and the sand is cool under your feet. the sun is setting, creating a beautiful display of golden orange and coral pink in the sky, your partner looks in your eyes...and says...wow your eye makeup looks great!

no i'm kidding, not really, but that's the kind of mood this makeup look reminds me of! lets just get into it before I end up writing a novel!

♡ start by priming those eyes to get them ready and feeling smooth!
♡ start by covering your whole lid in a white.
♡ take a bronze/brown colour and add it to your crease and your outer corner.
♡ with a slightly shimmery grey/black charcoal kind of colour go over your crease but stopping just a bit before the inner corner. take it up a little above the crease but not a lot to add some dimension.
♡ with a silver/grey, go over the inner part of the crease very, very lightly, so its hardly even there and blend it slightly.
♡ taking the same white from the start, put some on your brow bone, only a bit just to highlight.
♡ take the grey/black again and add some on your lower lash line.
♡ you can tight line both lids with black liner if you want to but I just went in with a thin slick of eyeliner and a tiny cat eye.
♡ add a deep black mascara to both sets of lashes and you are done!

this look sounds like a lot but if you do it well it doesn't look heavy at all. I hope you get a chance to rock this look and have a great day. please feel free to comment, share and follow that would be awesome! lots of love Juliette x
